Check out Barrett et al. (20 February 2024), Revision of the Pultenaea setulosa species complex (Fabaceae: Mirbelieae) including 14 new species. Australian Systematic Botany 37(2) and then try keying out the plant you photographed. Maybe then have the party!
Please confer this sighting with these species below and so on and double check it as it does appear more or less different to usual *Poranthera microphylla* in these two photographs. Always the question in botany of, do these plants have differences to the degree of a different species, or do these plants have differences to the degree of merely variations within the species, ie. here within the circumscription of *Poranthera microphylla* .
These two species below have previously been called *Poranthera microphylla* :
• Poranthera oreophila Halford & R.J.F.Hend. – a highland species, not likely at this sighting's location : https://plantnet.rbgsyd.nsw.gov.au/cgi-bin/NSWfl.pl?page=nswfl&lvl=sp&name=Poranthera~oreophila
• and so on ... . .
