Empty cocoon of Cup Moth (family Limacodidae) on small eucalypt stem. Probably of a species of Doratifera. A circular lid is cut from the cocoon by the adult moth when it emerges after pupation.
Its the only species that comes up in the list which is a limitation. I qualified that in my notes by saying probably a species of Doratifera since they are common around here in some years.
