Our place too, and they increase in the absence of fire, although the drought has knocked some out. They seem to flower pretty nearly all year, which is handy for the honeyeaters, as apart from mistletoe, there is not a lot else on offer away from the immediate coastal strip, unless there is a euc in flower.
Ah, this is the first widespread flowering we've seen at our place since we bought it (admittedly only 17 months). The steepness means it's prone to being drier, so they sometimes struggle.
