Simaethula opulenta A tiny jumping spider with a metallic coppery-gold color. The body was relatively flattened in comparison to other species of jumping spider.
This individual was crawling on my hand and the bench I was seated on. I only had my phone with me so my photos aren’t the best but I’m hoping to encounter it again when I have my macro lens to get better photos.
In size it would have been no more that 4pm at most.
Not letting me add the species but it’s Simaethula sp. Likely to be Simaethula opulenta due to its location in NSW and appearance compared to the other Simaethula species in this state.
